The roads of Modena, Italy provided the perfect background for Maserati to introduce the livery for its initial all-electric race car that will contend in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Ended up in Maserati’s standard blue, the Tipo Folgore Gen3 is set to race in Season 9 of the EV open-wheel racing collection with Edoardo Mortara and Maximilian Günther driving for the manufacturing facility team. Maserati is the first Italian vehicle brand name to get in Formula E, as well as the Tipo Folgore Gen3 is a homage to Maserati’s initial race auto: the Tipo 26 which debuted at the 1926 Targa Florio and also finished first in its course.
